Hughes MALLET was born in 1946 : he is married , father of 4 children and grand father of two boys .In the sixties during one season he participates in bike races , with enthusiasm but, suffering of lack of money and talent , without success. He nevertheless continued to see motor races , especially in the seventies , eighties , when he went with his friend , Alain MICHEL , the unique French side car driver who became world champion.
After a long professionnal career in the Insurance Group AXA , he takes profit of his retirement by spending a great part of his time in attending historic races where you can see very spectacular and friendly shows : the drivers are not locked in their mobile home , there is a large variety of splendid vehicles , the races are not depending on a strategy ( tanking , wires... ) and the position is obtained on the trail thanks courage and skill .
He deals as correspondent for the prestigious English magazine HISTORIC MOTOR RACING NEWS where quite a few of his reports and photos are published .It happens that even the weil know AUTOSPORT calls on his help to publish his photographs.
By dint of frequenting this circle , the author got a number of friends and some of them encouraged him to build this site . The site allows you to see some samples of photos and to order those you want. You get your delivery by e-mail or throug the post-office ( CD only , no printing ) .
The data base of the site will permanently be enriched .Under the heading News , you will be informed of these evolutions and of the races or events the author will be present at : So, for instance , you can order before the event a special photo report concerning the driver of your choosing . |
